Pictures for POL

Internship #15

This picture is of another radio studio in my buidling but if there wasn't any of the technology in this room the radio station that would usually be playing wouldn't be anymore because everything in this room controls what goes on in the booth where the people actually do the radio broadcast. Just like I how a tv show isn't anything without its director a radio show isn't anything with out their sound tech controlling everything.

This picture is of the robotic cameras that we use for the show. These cameras are faster than any human which makes it easier to switch from host to host or to the guest. These cameras are a good use for us because it makes it easier on the director so he wouldn't be telling some other guy to move back do this do that, he can just do what ever angle he wants by just pushing buttons.

This picture is of the production room where the director does his magic. In here is where the director contols the robotic cameras and changes the angels of the cameras. It is also where I work during the live broadcast and what I do in here is set up the graphics for the guests and the hosts. Then I take it to air which takes it to the director so he can well put it on air.

This is a picture of Director Chris Janikas f the Big Biz Show. He is the "brains" of the Big Biz Show because he deals with all of the technical stuff and if we go out to a convention he is the one who gets all the equipment set up so that the show would still run even though we aren't in the studio.

Ths is a picture of the two Co-Hosts of the Big Biz Show, and besides the director without the hosts of the show there really wouldn't be a show. Sully the one on the right is the "Money Guy" he is the one who mostly talks about the stocks and other things that are important whereas Russ the one on the left is the "Funny Guy" and he is the comedian who makes jokes to make others laugh but he is still serious when they talk about important stuff.

The, post the highlights of your mentor interview. This should be three to five questions and their answers.

Internship #13

Post three pictures represent what is most significant to your experience as an intern.

No matter which one you choose, for each picture, write a caption of at least a few sentences that provides information or story development that we can't get from just looking at the picture.

Internship #11

The highlight of my week was meeting the CEO and Founder of my favorite snowboarding brand Bitchboards. The challenges was trying to help my mentor find replacements for people who couldn't make it on the show. I think that meeting Alex Masterson, the CEO and Founder of Bitchboards, was the memorable thing because I actually got to hear what it was that started her buisness and I got to take pictures with her and some of the boards.

Internship #8

I have gained new appreciations for directors of news stations and etc. because I found out that alot of the show is put on them because if they didn't have them there would be no show. The way that I developed this new appreciation was because I saw how hard the director of the Big Biz Show worked and how he was stressed out because everyone would go to him to make sure that the show was good.

the highlight of my week was seeing some clips and finding more about the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards shows from a movie critics view. The challanges I faced was helping my mentor find replacements or fill-ins for guests who couldn't make it to the show. I worked well with others being that all the people that talk alot it was kind of intimidating on my first day but then being with them for a while of christmas break i started to talk alot more. I saw people freak-out badly when something went wrong, and it was something that I did not expect because I didn't realize that it was that important but it was becuase the show is live and so we could not just go back and edit it. I would describe my first week of internship as fun because I got to do something that I had never tried before and that it was a great and rewarding experience.
